It'll be years before FE ever ends up on a console again.

Not only will it be years before another console FE that isn't a spinoff game, but it'll be years before we get a game that isn't set in Awakening's world.

The WiiU is doing worse than the Vita right now.

LOL no. The vita has been out twice as long and the WiiU almost matches its lifetime sales.

Seriously Your just kidding yourself.

Sorry, I'm not keeping up with both the WiiU and Vita sales, so I woudn't know the exact numbers.

As long as FF XV is around, I don't plan on buying a Square game ever again.

Awakening's World is the exact same world as every other FE. >_> Or do you mean one that won't involve Chrom/Lucina and co.?

It's more trustworthy for numbers which are actually publically available (which console sales are) but yes, stay away from VGChartz in general.

To the TC, all I can say is, "good". IMO the series belongs on a portable (it doesn't really benefit from home consoles' superior visuals at all), and I think it's clear the general public agrees based on the sales figures... IIRC the three best-selling games in the series (FE7, FE8, FE13) are on portables despite only 6 of 13 overall being there, but I'm too lazy to confirm this.

Roy, Eliwood, Lyn and Hector appear as Einherjar... So they probably are in the same world.

That, or the Dragon's Gate and the Outrealm Gate are interconnected, which is basically the same as sharing a world.

I don't really have a problem with this. Personally, I love RPGs on handhelds much more than any genre. And if Fire Emblem stays on the portables, then so be it.

As long as they don't stop making them, like Ogre Battle...

it doesn't really matter

mechanically, there's not really much the franchise has added since 1990 that the NES' CPU couldn't handle, and the few things NES might struggle with (Pair Up), SNES sure as hell could handle it, FE really gains nothing from consoles over handhelds, especially not when handheld games have had just as much content as console games since the 1990s (think Link's Awakening and Pokémon)

really, Nintendo as a whole would be better off going handheld only and let everyone else kill themselves over increasing game budgets, now if only they'd make good games again.....
