The weapons with hero names on them have not been translated appropriately. Eliwood's Blade is known as Eliwood's Steelblade in the Japanese version. Hector's Axe is Hector's Fierce Axe. They aren't the exclusive weapons in their own game. They are just some weapons that they also use. --- This sentence is as meaningless as you.

I think the implication is that the weapons that these heroes used became legendary weapons after their accomplishments.
