Yeah... which is more beneficial? The ability to always have access to Battle Saves, regardless of Classic or Casual settings by nature of using the Save Data Backup feature?
Or the ability to, if you've got a friend or simply access to another 3DS, streetpass yourself?

Personally, I'd say that Bookmark/Backup is more beneficial, since it allows you to save arrangements in Lunatic+/Classic.

...But Streetpassing yourself allows for half-priced forges and infinite access to Rift Doors and stat boosters and the like....

Gonna go with streetpassing myself. Grinding them A rank Staffs, having multiple Aversa's Nights, and getting characters with terrible Mag/Res growths to max would take ridiculously long otherwise.

It also grants early access to unlimited Master and Second seals.

And fighting yourself can be fun.

Have file with seals in inventory. Streetpass said file, buy as many seals as you want.

Theoretically you never need to battle save in the first place (and if you did, why not play casual). There isn't any swag numerical value you get from playing classic 24/7. I don't use either exploit, but the latter sounds infinitely more useful because it actually adds content into the game.

Plus if you are going to go to the bother of backing up and reloading from battle saves why not just play casual?

Ah, I see.

Anyway, streetpassing yourself is way more expensive I would think because you need a second 3ds.

indeed it would be expensive unless you had help like a brother or friend who'll help you i'm fortunate enough to have 2 other brothers with 2 other 3ds's (we don't like sharing) and a friend i meet every day during classes so streetpass benefits are awsome

Lunatic+. Battle Saving is the only way to have a Skill Arrangement be saved. Since you pretty much need a no Luna+ arrangement for Chapter 2, which is before the point where you can trivialize the game, and the RNG dictates some target selection [I.E. who the enemies who cannot reach their targets chase] and thus, even with perfect strategy, you can wind up screwed because the Squish has to deal with two enemies at once, and you cannot kite them out, saving the limited Luna+ arrangements is greatly beneficial. [It's on that factor that I'd say Bookmark/Backup is more beneficial than Streetpassing yourself, since it can take pressure off areas where it matters.]

If you're aiming for total completion, L+/Classic and L+/Casual are different modes, so...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you battle save, you also save the RNG layout. All FE games roll the maps' RNs when the map starts. So if you planned on failing it once, you'd reload a god-fated loss.
