Holy christ this game's music

I was already interested in this game, but I've listening to some songs from the game, and they're amazing. It's some of the best music I've heard in a while.
I especially like this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CAhqCAzkxg
This is Ys-quality music if you ask me.
I just hope that the game gets localized.

I've actually been getting a few friends to look into BDFF by introducing them to the soundtrack first. It's been working well so far now that they're getting other people into it as well. :P

But I agree, the soundtrack is fantastic! I personally love Love's Vagrant Ringabell fangirl alert, Serpent Eating the Horizon, Prelude Moving Toward Hope, Conflict's Chime, and Ballad Moving Toward Hope (being arguably my favorite track from the game). I'd include That Person's Name Is, but you already covered that.

Probably a few other tracks, but those are off the top of my head.

I just had a quick listen to your link, and then a song from Ys. Awesome. Have you heard any Blazblue music before by any chance?

I haven't actually listened to Blazblue's soundtrack, though I have been interested in playing the games. What are some recommended songs from that?

Oh, and most of my favorite Ys music is from the Oath in Felghana. Here's a few songs:

The Boy's Got Wings (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGTeMaChKVg)

Be careful (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t8F9ZzSMl8)

A Searing Struggle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnNgMaXapDM)

Valestein Castle (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9eVKSZVD5o)

Sealed Time (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKvJ_pjGmbc)

Actually, just about every song in that game is great, but those are some of my favorites.

Wicked Flight is just fantastic, a shame none of the DVD footage I saw of the live concert thus far has contained that song in it's entirety. I hope that changes soon because that is easily my favorite song from the soundtrack and the one that put this game on the "Holy ****! I MUST HAVE THIS GAME NOW!" list!

I agree that it's a good soundtrack, but the more I listen to it, the more I find it kinda overrated. I find some songs to be sorta pompous and by the numbers. Some battle and event themes are also extremely repetitive, which was a flaw not to be found in what was TRULY a masterpiece, ie the xenoblade soundtrack, where each song had different segments and no melody was overused. Also, I know it's the latest trend in JRPGs to put tons of electric guitar, but at some points in BD it just feels gratuitous and generic.

In regards to BlazBlue, I'd personally recommend the vocal version for Memory of Tears. It's the VS theme for Noel against Tsubaki.

If you're referring to Love's Vagrant as one of those "pompous" songs, it's meant to sound sorta flamboyant for a good reason. Said reason being that it's the theme for Ringabel and so a bit of flamboyancy is kinda expected. Otherwise, I don't see what you mean by pompous. I don't see how the electric guitars used in BD sound generic either when it seems to me that they're used well.

Ah Xenoblade, saw it years ago when it was called FFXII.

I actually like Love's vagrant a lot, I meant some of the more military sounding tracks, or the ones that feel like they accompany the more tense moments.

Hehe, you're definitely missing on something if you think FF XII is representative in the slightest of xenoblade's quality :)
