How to use Dark Knight effectively?

With everyone here raving about how Dark Knight "rips through every boss in the game in 2 to 3 turns", I decided to give it a try. So far, I'm very underwhelmed. All my Dark Knight does is waste a bunch of HP to do damage that pales in comparison to the output from my Hunter and Monk... and then gets killed in 1 or 2 hits.

What's so special about Dark Knight? Does it only become good after using the Level 13 ability "Death Wish"? For 1 BP, My Monk can do a GUARANTEED 7000+ damage with "Pressure Point", but my Dark Knight can barely break 2000 with anything in its repetoire (and yes I'm using katanas). Where is this insane damage everyone's talking about?

For me I equip use the knight ability, to equip a weapon arm, with no shields, this will double attack damage on physical weapons, and then usually at the start of battle, I immedaity cast deathwish and then the last Dark Knight ability which spams darkness until HP run down to 1, I think this does around 5 to 7 hits in a row? And it only cost a total of 3 BP.

This video contains the secret boss, but it shows you why darkness spam is main reason for Dark Knight's overkill.

5 hits, otherwise I use the same setup as Zoel for Dark Knight. Combine it with the Time Mage's World Haste ability on another party member can you can skip over the BP issue pretty easily.

Death Wish + Insanity is pretty lethal.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep going with it (level 12 right now), it seems that you have to master the job before it becomes worthwhile.
