I'm personally fine with the current system now, but I wouldn't mind seeing a twist to ARPG if it works out well. I'd say a lot of BDFF's appeal is that it follows in FFIX's footsteps in being a throwback to RPGs of the 90's while still rolling with RPGs of today.
But once again, I'm all for anything new if it works well. --- PSN: Neophoton | NA 3DS: 2277-6964-8962 | JP 3DS: 2509-0978-4639 Currently playing: Fire Emblem: Awakening, Tomb Raider
The game has a innovative battle system plus it's considered to be more Final Fantasy then Final Fantasy.
But isn't Final Fantasy.
Along with an impressive artstyle and art design from Yoshida(Square), just speaks volumes of how awesome the game is.
Not to mention music by Sound Horizon is just godlike. Especially for the 3DS system. --- I have always hoped for a BERSERK Final Fantasy Game to be made realized. Official GILGAMESH of every Gamefaqs Board
I feel the art direction was the game's strongest point, but everything else is excellent as well. It's flawed in some ways, but it's perfect in my book. It's basically my second FFIX. --- PSN: Neophoton | NA 3DS: 2277-6964-8962 | JP 3DS: 2509-0978-4639 Currently playing: Fire Emblem: Awakening, Tomb Raider
Which can still mean your being closed minded, but whatever this isn't important.

^Isn't that kind of close minded?
The entire reason the game has been getting the level of press and interest it has been is because it's a return to classic form.
That's not the entire reason but its part of it, its not like there hasn't been turn based games. Classic form isn't just about the combat system and this game has been getting praise for a number of things like artwork, being a 3ds rpg, good music etc..Heck the game being turn based is probably what people are least excited about. I can promise you there are more turned based jrpg's than action ones. --- I'm a ladies man and i loves my ladies
