that laughing scene was meant to be like that, not poor acting, the laughing was fake. i don't know why people were bashing that scene. it was mean to be awkward and fake sounding.

Who says I didn't know what it meant? Knowing what the scene means didn't make me any less embarrassed watching it, nor make it sound less lame to my mom.
Regardless of the intention of that scene, it was awkward and embarrassing as hell to watch.

if you knew the scene was supposed to be awkward, why were you embarrassed? Did you show them laughing naturally to your mom? Do you get embarrassed watching forest gump with people?
or are you just saving face
