Is that "Gadis" person truly would be named "Gadis" in English (if there would be a version of it...)?
Lol, the first time I read his name, "Gadis" is actually means a "girl" / "maiden" in Indonesian language.

Those have been the names used for the past twenty years and they're straight readings of the katakana so there's no reason XSEED wouldn't use them in a hypothetical (and pretty likely) localization. I assume they were picked by Falcom to begin with on the basis of sounding cool and any similarity to words in other languages is a coincidence.
