Did "A Great Ordeal" make it in this game?

Because I looked it up on Youtube just yesterday and it was AWESOME.

(Despite sounding a bit heroically cheesy.)

I've heard conflicting reports on this one, with some saying they heard something they sounded like it and others saying it's not in. I'm not far enough into the game myself to confirm one way or the other. I have heard that Valley of Quicksand and Temple of the Sun apparently didn't make the cut without any contradictions. :-(

Valley of Quicksand and Temple of the Sun

Well.. you gave me two more theme songs to search.

So far, my favorite theme is "The Dawn of Ys" and if I'm correct, it's the song in the opening.

The Dawn of Ys was the opening for every other version of the game, for some unknown reason Falcom made a brand new song for this one and apparently repurposed Dawn as a field BGM.

Valley of Quicksand

I've searched all over Youtube, and this track seems, yeah, absent along with the Ordeal one, which I was looking for...and yet, oddly, they kept several others. I'm still waiting on something reliable on the matter...if that be the OST track list.

Go to Gamestop, buy a Steam card, and use it to purchase Ys Origin. You won't be disappointed.

I looked up the opening on Youtube and I could have sworn the song was "The Dawn of Ys".

Unless it was an edit.

Is this the opening you saw?

That's an edited version which just goes to show that they could have used The Dawn of Ys for the OP and it would have been perfectly appropriate.

Here's the opening with the actual song. Definitely not an arrangement of Dawn, though it has some presumably intentional similarities.

What I saw was the second one, but after comparing them one more time, I finally realize that it's actually a different song only w/ some similaritiees.

I guess I must have confused the opening with the 2008 version of Dawn.

(emphasis mine, of course)

...the song isn't brand new. It's Adol's theme. I didn't recognize it immediately because of how different of an arrangement it is... In fact, it wasn't until the second or third day of playing the game when the melody hit me.
