I feel 3 rounds is the perfect amount for a 3d fighter.

And ESPECIALLY DOA.

I don't know what it is, but eversince the first update everyone has been creating those "3 round match" nonsense. The default two rounds from traditional fighting games are good enough. 3 just drags on too long especially if there are more then four people in the room.

2 rounds is fine for all fighters (tag or solo) the only game I'm OK with 3 rounds is KoF for the obvious reason.

Usually 3d fighters have 3 due to rounds being short.

3 rounds for singles and 2 rounds for tag.

Anything over 3 lasts for way too long - it was very relieving to see TN make all ranked matches 3 rounds after running into too many people who had 1 or 5 rounds. 3 rounds also leaves plenty of room for adapting to the opponent's strategy, but still requires that the player be quick about it.

And tag matches last way too long - a lot of 99 second rounds end with less than 20 seconds on the clock. I saw some tournament footage where it was 3 rounds/3 matches, and it just got very boring very quickly.

I like just the two rounds and was fairly unhappy when I had 3 round fights forced upon me after that update.

I feel like anything over two rounds tires you out, especially with Tag.

Three rounds is perfect because it gives both opponents time to adapt to each other's strategy. This makes the match more interesting as well. Two rounds is too short.
