With DOA5U on the way, is the original worth the $20 or less....?

Has it been confirmed that you won't be able to download the 'Ultimate' content?

You can download Ultimate but it will be a whole new game. Like NG3:RE is a whole new game to NG3.

But can you download it to the original version? I don't know if you can for RE's content for NG3...

Example: like with SSF4 and being able to download its Arcade Edition content.

So far the indication is it will not have all all existing dlc. So its not gonna be like ng3re.

Why are you still whining here. You know full well what I meant.

It is a totally new game and you can't download Ultimate to your vanilla DOA5. Just like you couldn't download RE to your vanilla NG3.

Then say it clearly. I didn't play NG3 at all so I wasn't sure, don't just assume someone wanting clarification is whining.

hes upset for a different reason.
im not blindly singing tecmo praises. i had the nerve to say that doa5u should come with all existing dlc. which pissed him off because the game should come as bare of content as possible.

I don't care if DOA5U comes with the DLC or not. I already own it in DOA5 and am totally fine with it coming with DOA5U when I buy it.

You are the one upset about it not coming with the DLC.

i bought DOA5 for $20 and i honestly think if you just want to enjoy playing a fun fighting game and don't really care about the release of an ultimate edition (with whatever changes that come) then yeah, i think it's worth the money to buy it and enjoy the game

if you really want to get the ultimate edition with it's cool new stuff (which i haven't read up so i don't know what it is) and have the patience to wait then it's probably not worth buying the game twice unless you really love DOA5 and want both versions

since this is about game cost i'm not including the dlc in the argument for either game as sometimes... the core merits of each game should be considered the highest when it comes to initial purchasing price

though, finally one thing you might want to ask yourself regarding dlc is "does buying dlc for the original carry over / unlock the same content in the ultimate version?" though this too ultimate ties into whether or not you really want the ultimate version or if you really want to own both

i'm enjoying the original! :D
