I am so frustrated today about the gem notification system in this game. Exchanging gems is such an important aspect to the game and it is all screwed up.

First, the notification screen only shows 3 persons. I hate "Jane, Bob, Joe and others gave you gems." Who are these others? No way to find out. I have started spacing out the gems I give out so it is less likely I will receive return gems at the same time. But if I fail to open the game regularly to clear the messages, I get the dreaded "and others" notification again.

Recently, when I reopen the game after it has timed out, I see the notification screen, but everything rolls right past it before I can see the name. Is a change in the game or just new to me? It has happened twice this afternoon and I want to throw the phone across the room.

Shouldn't matter - I could just keep sending gems to the people I have been sending them to and believe they are returning the favor. However, I have had people quit sending gems to me after a long period of regular gem trading. So how long do I keep sending gems when I can't confirm I am receiving gems?

Also, there is no way to keep a long term record of the gem trading. We all have to work out a system to try to do that on our own. I can't believe it would be so hard for the game to keep at least a 48 hour record of gems sent and received.

They need to fix this.

I get excited easily when I find something new. I was going to write a thread for a new building I found but was like Oh it's just a decoration. To my surprise this wasn't a decoration at all! It is an new building that are similar to the Dragon Shrines except these new buildings allow you to keep your DragonVale EGGS. I'm no good at doing this so I'm just going to list them for you as I find them.

-New Dragon Race

-New Habitat

-New Dragon Buildings [Retain EGG Form so your dragons never hatch but can use as decorations?]

-New Dragon

-Enchanted Breeding Cave [wow?]

I'm not done but yeah I'll update as I find them this is big.

Update:

- New Flag

- Epic Breeding Island UPGRADE (SHORTEN BREEDING TIME?)

- New decoration or something crystal

-The new habitat you gain gems from will have a max capacity of 3 or 4 dragons and max gems at 3 as well. I think you can only have four max of these habitat and it goes on a floating island or something not 100% sure about I know it's 3 max gems on the habitats

Well, sure it would be nice to have more gems. For me! Is the proposed change going to produce gems to use as gifts or gems you keep?

But more gems does not solve the notification issues. Something that tracked gems given and received per individual would be ideal, I think. But even having more names included in the current limited notification system would help some at least.

I had been sending gems regularly to several people without knowing if they were returning the gems. Recently I sent each of them a gem then stopped. Now that several days have passed, I have not gotten a gem from a single one of them. There has been time for their gem trees to have cycled through 3 times. And I haven't gotten the "and others" notification during that time. So I guess I was just too trusting and pretty gullible.

Yeah. I'm sick of giving gems to people and not getting any back lol.
