Online play for Peace Walker with PS3 players?

The PS3 version of HD collection is going to have online play for Peace Walker. Does anyone know if the Vita version will also have online play for Peace Walker, and if so, does anyone know if it can play online with the PS3 version? That would be all kinds of awesome.
