Topic creator,

Have you played these before? If not, play them in release date order. But once again, the co1onel has the right answer.

i have played MGS 1,2, and 4 and enjoyed them, just felt like getting the whole story and wanted to know how to do that

I would definitely play 3 and Peace Walker, Portable OPs is good but I don't think it's necessary. MG and MG2 are dated, and if you can get into them I would recommend playing them, but if the mechanics prove irritating I would just Wiki the plot. It's much more cut and dry than the Solid games.

Is there any reason why you only included Sony consoles + MSX on that list, mangbhoy?

Fixed. You must have forgotten that MGS1 had a retooling for the Gamecube. As well as the HD Collection was also on the 360 and it also has Peace Walker. Now where MGS 5 will go who knows.

Also Metal Gear Solid 3 was released on the 3DS and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was released on the original Xbox. And wasnt the original Metal Gear on the NES? Might be wrong on that one though.
