How do i start New game plus

Ok so i have beaten the game twice and both times it sent me back to the beginning of the game where i fight at the temple and the god king steals my shyt. Im trying to get all the hidden weapons so i want to start a new game + but it isnt giving me the option its just sending me to the beginning and putting me on the next rebirth which is like 23 now. someone help please.

Go to menu then to character slot. The new game+ option should be there.
