I've seen this asked a few times but didn't see any real answers. Is there any way other than fishing/traps to get bottles? I've been fishing a lot and haven't even caught one of them. I don't know if they can be traded, but if they can, I have various things I could trade for them if anyone has some they can spare. --- 3DS friend code:1547-6622-8844
You can trade for them online. If you don't have access to online play, or wireless internet, then you can save before picking from the fish trap. If you don't get a bottle, you can load the save and repeat until you get one. Personally, I find it easier to get bottles from fish traps than from using the fishing rod. --- PSN: OniNoMeKyo, Currently Playing: Uncharted 3, Disgaea 4, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk 2, until Hyperdimension Neptunia V gets a US release
Man, fishing traps gave me nothing but bottles and coins for the first while, to the point where I was selling my shiny coins to keep my total stored under 30 --- -Official Lord of the Victorious Minjo Brotherhood- That's great. You won't be playing SC2 beta on your Mac though. - MBorella
Hmm well I tried the saving thing, and for some reason I keep getting the same thing from the fish trap even when I reload. Well I've tried for like a week in game and still no bottles! lol. I'll keep trying. --- 3DS friend code:1547-6622-8844
I have found the save/reload thing is more effective over a period of time. Say you have 4 in-game hours to trap, save before you begin. If you don't catch bottles, reload and redo the entire session. If you do catch bottles, carry on. You should be able to see a vast difference in catches with that method, as opposed to saving before you empty 1 trap. --- ~arc how broken am i, in each beat of a hummingbird's wings?
I used to fish for bottles at the farm fishing point since you seem to get non-fish catches there much more frequently. Only later did I find that when you catch bottles in the fish traps you tend to get 4-5 at a time, as opposed to just 1 from fishing...
