Weapon/Ability Upgrades?

Check out this video at around 1:53 you'll see the player go into the menu to choose a different load-out.

We have apparently been limited to one ability and it's likely that grenades have also been eliminated or changed to an ability that must be selected. However I did notice that under each of the weapons and the ability was an upgrade. Could this indicate that weapons and abilities can be tweaked so that they might have larger clips, last longer, or have greater accuracy? Would certainly make up for the ability/grenade loss if true.

Found it, much more clearly, in this video at 4:05

Sorry if this is old news.

Also I definitely think I saw cloaking in the ability list for one of the infiltrators so we don't have to worry about that not coming back.

I think the upgrades might be attachments that you can add to the weapon to improve their performance. It looks as though you only have a choice of one upgrade at the time.

The EMP grenades being an ability makes me all but certain that they did away with each class having a their specific grenade type at spawn. The upgrade under the ability is most likely a perk that you can choose to improve it in different ways.

The thing that interests me in this video is that it seems like you can choose your attachments and ability perks on the fly.

I thought he was just choosing a premade set up for next time he spawned after death like in WFC.

Well I meant on the fly as in you can change what you want in the middle of the game, not that you can swap out perks or attachments in the middle of the fight. At least it looks like that may be the case. For example if you are using a Scatter Blaster with Fire Blast you can switch it to Sonic Blast for your next life.

I may have used a poor choice of words but I hope I cleared up what I meant now.

Now I just watched another video and I believe I am right about the weapon attachments and perks. It looks like instead of being able to pick 3 perks you now have 2 weapon attachments and 1 ability perk. Instead of perks they call them upgrades.

Yeah that would be pretty cool, you could kind of do that in WFC by making two classes and just have one with slightly altered perks.

Aww. Oh well, still kinda bummed that we lost an ability and a grenade but I guess it will just emphasize the importance of our ability choice and make everybody feel more unique and what not. I saw in a newer video that we can apparently change the vehicle tank cannon but I'm like 95% sure that's just a cosmetic change. Too bad because I really wanted Jet machine guns for epic dog fights.

Well, the tank cannon is only for Titans and it is only aesthetic. The Scientist class lets you change the type of wings.

Yeah I figured. Oh well, still sweet though. Hey you know something I'm happy to say I haven't seen yet?

...Warcry.

I think the amount of complaints about Warcry made High Moon decide to not even bother trying to balance it out for FOC.

And nothing of value was lost.
