I know there's been a few topics on this already but i want to see how many people have this problem, what version of the game people have (PAL/NTSC etc) & what can be done to solve it.
For those who don't know what i'm on about the audio in the in-game cutscenes is totally out of sync, from what i've experienced the 1st cutscene in DMC 1 when Trish comes in on the bike the audio of the window smashing & the bike landing happen while the camera is still panning along the skulls on the wall.. at 1st i thought this was a one off but the Alastor scene & nearly all of the others have been the same.. the audio is like 20-30 seconds out.
I haven't played DMC 2 on the collection yet but DMC 3 started in sync but the subtitles weren't, this isn't so much of a big deal but the 1st cutscene after the 1st mission was again 20-30 seconds off the action.
Now i know some people have suggested it's the disc & others have said it's because people have been playing on an SDTV, i've been playing on a HDTV with the PAL (UK) copy of the game.
I'm tempted to try the NTSC (U.S.) version to see if thats any better, has anyone on here had similar problems with the U.S. version or found a way to fix this issue?
I don't have any audio sync problems and I have a UK copy of the game.
Though some of the subtitles for Mundus did seem slightly out (though it didn't really affect anything tbh)
Sound has been perfectly in sync however and I almost have my second platinum from the collection (1+2)

Are you outputting via HDMI in 1080p?
It's definitely not an issue with the disc, as I had the same problem when outputting in SD, but in HD it works fine. The problem seems to occur in SD, but it might also happen if your TV only supports 1080i (unsure, but some other people have reported the same problem on HDTVs)
It isn't exactly an issue with the audio either... it sounds way out of sync, but that's because the whole game appears to run at a slower rate than it should (easily noticeable when playing DMC1). This causes the movie-file cutscenes to appear normal, but the ones generated by the in-game engine to run slower than the audio.

Only just seen your message!
May have to try a different resolution & see if that makes any difference.. it's still odd though you'd think that even people who only own an SDTV should be able to play the game without problems..
I've also got access to a 360 version so might have to see if it has the same problem on that platform too.
Either way thanks for the advice i'll have to give it a go
Out of a whim, I set my display settings to 480p (unticked everything but 480p) and 4:3, and played DMC3. It defaulted (or maybe it was my TV) to 576p. That's when the (in-game engine) cutscene issues popped up, they lag behind the audio
I think the 576p, whichever source is responsible for it (either the TV or the PS3) is probably it - causes the game to lag 20% behind the audio.
The only audio syncing problems I've had are the lip syncing ones that were there to begin with.

I've been having the problems. I have a UK copy and I'm playing on an SDTV. The sound can get 30 seconds ahead of the visuals in some cutscenes, so it's not something I'm imagining. It's a bit disappointing, really.
Thank you, gentlemen! Someday, I will repay you. Unless, of course, I can't find you or if I forget.
Yes, this is a common problem on the PS3 version.
My DMC HD Collection review:
no sync issues here using HDMI as well. the only issues i have run into are the per-exsisting ones from the PS2 days and none of these were audio related. PS3 version.
