meantangPosted 7/9/2012 3:56:46 PM | I wasn't planning on getting this simply because I hadn't read much about it. However, after seeing the movie this weekend and loving it I decided to get this game.
I used to love Spidey games but I have not played one since Spiderman 3.
Hopefully, I will enjoy this game.
What other good Spidey games are out there? --- http://hwf.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=387791&TabID=3270858 |

meantang (Topic Creator) Posted 7/9/2012 4:04:34 PM | What kind of game is it? Is it similar to the movie games or the ps 1 games or completely different?
Btw my favorite Spidey game that I've played is Spiderman on the ps one. --- http://hwf.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=387791&TabID=3270858 |
akaCitizenSnipsPosted 7/9/2012 4:07:11 PM | Web of Shadows is like Spider-Man 2 with a way superior combat system. It's arguably the best Spider-Man game, I personally think Web of Shadows and Amazing are the 2 best.
I have not played Shattered Dimensions, but that is level based with no free-roam so I'd assume that's the closest to the PS1 games. --- "Be still, Mouse. You can change your pants in a moment" JL: GL |
meantang (Topic Creator) Posted 7/9/2012 4:29:44 PM | Oh okay. Also what diffuculty should I play this game on? How hard is super hero? --- http://hwf.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=387791&TabID=3270858 |
akaCitizenSnipsPosted 7/9/2012 4:35:04 PM | Super hero is not that hard once you get used to the game mechanics. Normal isn't braindead easy but it's not hard either. I started on normal and had fun, I still died sometimes but it never got frustrating. On Hard mode since I was used to the game it was pretty easy but some of the boss fights were a pain in the ass.
And really, you should get Web of Shadows sometime after you're done with Amazing. You can get it for like $20 and it's very fun. --- "Be still, Mouse. You can change your pants in a moment" JL: GL |

Yeah what he wrote is a good recommendation, you can get first web of shadows, a good game (you will only hate the voice acting), and then amazing Spider-man which is fun too. |
meantang (Topic Creator) Posted 7/12/2012 7:20:58 AM | So far, I am loving this game. It is my second favorite Spidey game next only to Spiderman on the ps one.
And by the way, I have heard very mixed things about web of shadows. --- http://hwf.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=387791&TabID=3270858 |
mariamsmanPosted 7/12/2012 7:42:07 AM | Web Of Shadows is definitely worth a buy, especially if you like venom, a wide variety of villains and enemies, other marvel heroes, Spidey in the black suit as well, and moral choices throughout the game. I admit, it does get a bit repetitive, but come on, what game doesn't? Games are basically built on repetition.
As for me, i'm debating on whether i should get Amazing Spidey, Batman: Arkham City game of the year, or Asura's Wrath. :\ --- Gamertag: SkullKrunch3r |
