Yeah, I''m having a hard time making progress, and likely will have to curtail my activities substantially as well. It's POPCORN SEASON!

Yes, my boys are in Cub Scouts, and it's time for our annual popcorn sale, and they and I will be out knocking on doors, talking to people and trying to raise funds for our troop.

I know the feeling...
I'm active in Cub Scouts with my son too - and this week is a key recruitment week with our local schools.
It has really slowed my progress.

All is good - I'm way ahead of where I thought that I would be...
I was targeting Dec 1st for level 201, and will be there mid October.
And with the number of treasures that I'm getting, I've got gems to spare right now!

We'll see how close I can keep to the race leaders.

I can't collect debris fast enough my gem count is growing. I'm tap-tap-tapping with my left hand and my accounting work with my right.

Busy time for me as well, Halloween and a ton of events for my Star Wars groups. My husband and I make costumes and we have been very busy this year. I've been wanting to make a clothing line but haven't had any time to work on my own ideas.

I'm up to level 180, I think that's pretty good, if I had more time..... oh who am I fooling, I would most likely drink rum. Next "Fairy Dust" app, could it be to give me 32 hours in a day?

Interesting idea. On one hand, I would love to have 32 hour days. On the other, I know that the length of time it takes to do a job has a tendency to expand to match the amount of time available.

I used to have a partner that believed that there was no such thing as overtime. He believed that anything less than 24 hrs a day of work was undertime. Can you imagine his joy at having 32 hours a day?

Not much activity here, is the race that boring? I know I jumped into the lead last week but there really isn't that much distance between the top 3 or 4. I believe it is still anybodys race to win. As in all long distance races it usually comes down to final sprint, when to start it and do you have enough stanima to finish. Good luck everybody.

please consider adding privateersidthekid. I will swash your deck and not drink your rum!

I'm given her all I've got Captain!

I have a mixed bag of emotions on getting the the end but after looking at other peoples goals I think I can try to reach some of them as well to see if that will keep this tapping game fun.

Right now I need more crew, sending out invites as much as I can, 20 a day is my goal, I think I did 135 last night. So far only have new crew. I guess I will upload the NEW add list and see what happens with that.

After taking all day to put down 60M+ then seeing everyone one else post up 150-200M right after......I lost interest in keeping up. I'm close enough now that I'll get there before Thanksgiving. I'm just not going to sit here everyday and tap 10+ hours and get nothing done around the house. I'll hang in there for the time being but I see myself slowing down soon.

Good points DoF. I just crossed 750M and have looked at what some of the others have accomplished and am like, wow...

It does seem most of us are slowing down a bit.

Woo Hoo! Just crossed the 800 million mark. Wow. Feels like quite an achievement, even tho we still have a little time in the race.
When we started a few weeks ago on 9-21 I was at 392m. So that's more than 400m in 2 weeks. If you'd have asked in advance, I'd have said no way I'd get that many XPs in that short of a time frame. So the race has made a big difference.

But I really want to tip my cap to Sid the Kid. He put on an amazing burst to take the lead, and I don't think he's catchable (unless, of course, someone breaks a few of his fingers, and I do know a pirate named Guido, as well as another who has a dastardly effective poke-stick).

Sid the Kid added 100m to his XPs in a single day.

Just to put that into perspective, I timed myself on a gem-refill with the Baker.
If you set your energy to the max at 1020, then do a 5-gem re-set, you net 995. On the Baker quest at 14 energies per quest, that means you can do 71 quests. At 8,900 xp per pop, that will give you 632k xps per refill.

I could complete the entire cycle, start to finish, in a little over 2-1/2 minutes. It just takes that long to tap and refill.

So that means the absolute max I could get in one hour is 15 million xp.
So the fastest I could add 100 million is about 7 hours.
But that's with no mis-taps, no food breaks, and no potty breaks.
And any self-respectin' pirate knows that whatever rum you put in, sooner or later has to come out, no matter how good it tastes going down.

Let's say that a more realistic but very aggressive hourly rate is 7.5 million XP per hour.
That means Sid the Kid was tappity-tappin for at least 14 hours straight.

Now that deserves a WOW!!! with all caps and three exclamations.

I've been the tortoise to his hare, just trying to keep his sail in sight and give him something to think about. But that's just darned impressive.

Bunghole is the only one who can give him a legitimate scare on the net-gain part of the contest, and he's making a mighty effort as well.

Well-done, Sid!
