When I start it do I have to collect everything over again or does everything get transferred to the new game plus.Also if just start a new game on hard not a new game plus will all my collictables from the normal setting transfer to hard.

I've just started new game plus and it would appear that only upgrades carry over. Nothing else :(

only weapon and ability upgrades transfer.

No. You can go back and do chapter select to find collectibles. Just make sure you get an autosave after finding one. Don't think they carry over to new game plus though.

If you look at the stats it will "save" which convos, pick ups, and dog tags you collected (for trophy purposes) but as far at the game goes all that stuff resets. I think it's cool though, because some times Joel will comment on things he collects and I think that adds to the game a little.
