Before this mini rant begins there is a list of tutorials videos that you should check out below.
I am kind of expecting this to drop to the bottom of the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 board like a rock, but hopefully it doesnít, or at least one or two people check out these videos before it does.
Today I saw 6 different complaints about losing on here that were all explained in the first Level Up Your Game tutorial, thatís six people who came onto this board to complain about what beat them when there is an 18 minute video that they could have watched that would have shown them what they didnít understand about the game that was causing them to lose.
There are a lot of people on here judging the balance of the game who donít know the bare basics of Tekken. People who donít know that you can duck high attacks, and donít know that you can low parry predictable lows for free damage, or that the game shows you which type of grab is coming so you can break it, are making statement on how balanced this game is when their losses are coming from lack of basic knowledge of the game and not character matchups. Donít complain that the game is all juggles if you get juggled because you donít know all of your options for getting off the ground or because your favorite move to use is horribly punishable on block or starts up way too slow and you donít know anything about frame data.
If you donít understand the basics of the game PLEASE take some of the time you would spend playing and fumbling through trying to learn the game yourself and watch some tutorial videos instead. Why are you asking people who are just as new as you for tips on how to play when people who play the game competitively took the time to break down and explain the game to you?
EVERY MAJOR MODERN FIGHTING GAME HAS TUTORIALS VIDEOS OUT. IF ARE LOSING TO PEOPLE WHO ALREADY KNOW THIS STUFF AND ARE USING THESE THINGS AGAINST AND YOU DECIDE NOT TO LEARN THEM THEN ITíS YOUR OWN FAULT THAT YOU ARE LOSING.
BTW if you check out a video and it helps you with something you didn't know, feel free to post about it in here and maybe it will convince someone else to click on them and start learning more about the fundamentals of Tekken.
Hmmm... People don't know you can duck high attacks...?
Huh. Come to think of it, did Fight Lab even mention that? Maybe they should've made that mode a little more in-depth. Anyone remember Soulcalibur 3's tutorial mode? That was pretty damn awesome even if you knew everything already.
The full moon is beautiful, don't you think? Have you ever had the chance to look at it?
