really, this map is constantly supporting the cpu army. not in a way that would make things more challenging, but in a way that its sometimes impossible to adapt at all. having your strongest pokemon poisoned or even worse, burned after the very first round and losing like 80 hp before you ever reach any enemy is just short of a joke, while avoiding the fire can hurt your movement so much that the cpu can easily cross the battlefield and surround you

if i send my pokemon towards the top of the map, the statues will form a barrier there, if i send them down, the flames will gang up on me, while they lazily move away from the cpu again and again. yeah, they always move two tiles when im near, thanks for always stopping before you do anything helpful. the one time the cpu for some reason ran into a flame, it just missed too

if i split my forces, the statues will always move between my strong pokemon and their one hit koable ones and this has happened so many times now

all the moving **** on this map is annoying too, its worse enough having to see those vines grow and shrink every round, but this? couldnt they have them all move at the same time at least?

i swear by god, its the worst map they put in this game

The map is pretty easy to me. The only problem is that it takes FOREVER for it to be my turn again.

I hate it too, but just because it takes FOREVER. You just gotta avoid the flames with high maneuverability. The statues do get annoying though.

I dunno, I've heard people complaining more about the Floating Rock maps, than the Spectra battle map.

I can see how you can be annoyed with it, since it takes semi-forever to get to your next turn, even with battle speed at max.

They DO suck if you are attacking.

Defending isn't so bad though since even low level guys can hold it. Ai is too dumb to reach you in most cases and runs into flames.

I hate greenleaf a bit more, due to that pointless vine bridge extending or contracting each turn which I have literally never seen used or needed to ever use.

That can be said about a lot of the map gimmicks.
-The vine bridge in Greenleaf, as stated above
-The bells in Pugilis
-The electric switches in Violight
-The rolling boulders in Cragspur
-The retracting bridge in Avia

I've hit the bells for an energy boost. Well, my first time there. Just takes one pokemon off to the side, and since I normally form a chokepoint anyway...

The switches can be nice if you have an electric to go step on them. Depending on the opponent's pokemon you can do nice damage (or power up your own ground type with lightningrod).

The boulders? I use those a ton on defense. Depending on target type they rock. Offense it makes me work to stay out of the way (did a brave bird once and forgot i'd nick it, dropping the boulder right on top of me. Killed the target at least, then KO'd myself.)

The bridges...yeah, not so much.
