They keep their upgrade/pokemon/etc as long as they're registered in the gallery right?

I'm finishing off upgrading all my warlords in Ieyasu's episode but unless I dismiss some warlords I won't have room for any new ones before i hit 100 pokemon.

Yes, it's perfectly fine.

However keep in mind that there is apparently some glitch in that if you re-recruit them, their gallery data gets... screwy, somehow. So just don't do that.

Is the glitchy re-recruit just during the same episode or does it carry between episodes?

Nope, just during the same episode. It apparently loads previous episode data regardless of whether or not you already recruited that particular warrior in that same episode.
