Achievements Won't Unlock. Help Please *Spoiler Alert*

Hey,

So I've been trying to get the defeat Vile with his greatest weakness achievement and it will not unlock. It is the Rolling Shield right?

I also beat the game with no upgrades (accept Z Buster, but you have to get that) and that achievement didn't pop either.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm experiencing the same problem with the exact same two achievements, though with the X-buster only one I took that to mean X-buster is the only weapon allowed, and picked up the armor and heart tanks.

Well the one I am having a hard time with (other than Vile) is beating the game without picking up any upgrades. But the Z Buster you automatically get when Zero dies. :-(
