Can you abort mission to save a critically wounded soldier?

The topic says it all but to be specific, one of my squad members is 3 turns away from dying and I want to save him. The rest of my squad is close enough to make it back to the ship but I'm afraid if I abort the mission it will force me to leave him behind. I'd just try it out but I'm playing Iron Man so I can't really reload without quitting out of the game.

No, I dont believe so.

Thats why I always have 2 guys with a medkit, even if one of them isnt support. Also just by carrying a medkit they are immune to poisons

Try to abort. It says that anyone not inside the Skyranger square will be left.

Thanks, I had no idea medkits prevented poison. I'll have to start bringing more.

Oo, I did not know that about the poisons either.
Best Buy sucks so bad, I have to Sig it!
