I always thought OL was unimportant, but NVM, RB is

Literally the dumbest position ever. Let's look at this objectively with reasonable reason: We're going to go on vacation to England to spit in those guard's that don't move's faces. Sounds fun, right! Yeah. Okay.

So we plot out trip. Do you walk there, or do you fly there? Fly, obviously. The destination was England, the course we took was through the air.

Now lets look at the NFK. Here, you're destination is the inzone for a touchdown. Always, you want to get a touchdown. So if the destination is Touchdown, what's the best route? Would you walk there, or fly there?

OL is still slightly unimportant, but not as much as the RB position, because there is literally NO REASON WHATSOEVER for there to be an RB position.

The Chicago Bears have a better QB-to-WR connection that your team does. How does that feel?

Take away the offensive line and tell me how unimportant they are. Ask any QB or Headcoach what are the 3 most importan positions offensively and they will say RB OL WR. The RB opens up the WR to catch the ball an the OL protects the QB so he can throw the ball.

Things to dispute here: OL is an important position only in the sense that you legally need 5 guys on the line. You can plug in any fatty there and clog up the pass rush. So the position itself isn't unimportant, but reaching in the top five like the Viqueens and so many teams do is beyond stupid when you can get the same value ANYWHERE.

Also, the RB doesn't open up the WR to make a catch. The receivers do that on their own, and the QBs get them the ball. How in the world does a RB help a WR get open when he's 30 yards away?

So you draft a player 3rd overall because he's the best person to fake handing off to?

No you draft him to run the ball. You run either because you have a smash mouth football minded coach or you have a QB/WR squad that is sub par or in the developing stage. Either way passing an running all add up to getting yards and getting to the end zone. Which one you use is based off of preference and available talent.

Joke topic the O-line is involved in the running and passing game. Any person can run through a gigantic hole if they have a great line and pick up an easy 5 yards a carry. If you can't block, the runningback isnt going anywhere unless it is high school football with a 5 star running back. If the QB has no time, he can't make a good throw. You cant plug anyone in their. The LT is picked in tht Top 5 every year, as they always say you need to protect your QB, no matter how good he is. Oline is most important position in the game /topic

I'm trolling? Okay, that's why I've offered insight to every opinion I've made and all you've done is bombard a discussion thread with unneeded insults. Get out of my thread if you have nothing worthwhile to input.

Why run the ball when you can pass it? Passing > Running. That's why QB's YPA is always higher than RB's YPC. You run because you have a bad QB/WR, thus drafting a RB? No. You draft a QB or a WR to replace your bad ones.

OL is not the most important position in the game. Barry Sanders and Walter Payton had crap lines but are the two best running backs of all time. But stop derailing this thread, this is about how RB's are less important, not that OL is unimportant.
