Two people can't play on the same system?

Is this correct? I just read it on the Eagles MB.

two people can't play in connected careers at the same time on a single system. You can still face friends in play now and you can have multiple careers saved. You just can't have a connected career with one player as say the cowboys and the other as the texans.

Can you play as more than one team? that might be the only way around it, just pick two teams then take turns.

no. One user per connected career on a single system. The only way to have multiple people in a connected career right now is via online.

This is a step back in my opinion. Why can't they just make it arcade style? I get that they want to make it centered around one player or coach, that's fine, but why can't they just make it so others can play in game and just make all the offseason/ franchise stuff center to the first player?

There is no excuse to not allow, at the very least, 2 people to play together in season and not just against each other in "play now".

They have reasons, they didn't just not do it to piss people off.

Wow. This is the worst idea ever. The only thing that made Madden 12 even slightly playable was playing Offline franchise with a friend. Playing on the same team was what made the game somewhat fun. Especially defense. Looks like I wont be getting Madden for the first time ever.

Yes such a horrible thing. Wanting to hold off on a feature until it is up to a certain level of quality. How dare they want to make sure to give us a quality product rather than shoving sub par features out.
