I have been a supporter of GameFAQ's since 1995. This is my very first post.
My question for MADDEN 2013 : Is it possible to control each team during a season? I am looking to simply modify each team's roster's & depth charts, while playing every NFL game during the season.
Ie: I would like to play each game on the NFL schedule for Week 3. And attempt to simulate actual NFL statistics, while playing each game.
Lastly, I do understand the lack of an typical franchise, however, I have to imagine that there is a way to play each game as a user controlled player.
Thank you everyone.

we dont have any information on that yet
What are you expecting, people to say Oh it's 2012, I'll just overlook the fact you're wrong?

No one has played a modified version of an actual NFL franchise.
I just want to play the 2013 NFL season. I do not want to play as just one team.
Wow. The help.
Gamefaq's message board's sure have changed over the years. Previously people would engage and help find soultions.
Thanks I guess.

We can't do it yet but we might be able to in the future. Blame EA for releasing their worst unfinished game ever, I love the game but it seems like 60% done if that.

Thank you. I appreciate at least the response.
Madman, for years I have been playing madden. Since 1992.
I agree. I like this game too.
It's fun to actually play. No play is ever seen as the same. So that is good.
I just can not imagine not being able to at least simulate a season. For instance: All I care about is playing each and every game from week one through week 16, and trying to emulate my madden 2013 stats to actual NFL statistics.
If Reggie Bush rushes for 175 yards week 2 verse Oakland. I try to rush for the same amount in my video game.
Real simple. I just want to play a regualr season.
Madman, to be very honest, I haven't even completed a game yet. I figure that I would re-do each player roster by hand, attributes and all. And around week 5-6, I would get started from the ground up.
I'll figure sometning out. So it's cool.
Truthfully, I was also venting frustration with the lack of gamefaq responses to an actual serious question.
Again, I have been reading daily gamefaq's since I first learned of the internet in 1995.
I used to see detailed responses to real posts. People would actually share information on how to make the gaming experinece better. Granted I could always go to operational sports or any other website, it's simply just for over the years I trust the name Gamefaq's.
Anyhow, I will conclude with this. I will just e-mail EA sports and madden directly my question. If a game developer can not answer my question, then I know I am out of luck.
Thanks again Madman.

FYI, people probably aren't answering, becuase this topic has been beaten like a horse. No you cannot control all the teams. This is a major gripe of a lot of people, and the people who don't complain, call it the "best madden ever!" and then a flame war breaks out.
But on topic, You could alter the rosters and play 16 Play Now games and manually keep track of all the W/L records and stats in excel or something.
Thats about your only option right now.

There is a way to control all 32 NFL Teams.
There is a Youtube video explaning.
1) Chose active coach.
2) Turn off coach firings.
3) play desired game
4) retire as coach.
5) contintue with leauge.
6) chose new coach
7) same stats stay, and you now can play as such new team.
Took a while. dead horse or not. You people still suck.

You are smart too.
That's what I have been doing.
It's really the only way.
And I didnt mean to gripe. You are right and thank you for your thought. It is wise.
