The social law.
People who're gay/lesbian, or who's interested to it, isn't a 'straight' person.
And what I meant straight is thinking normally.

Oh, man. That's kinda messed up. And there is no such thing as normal.

Actually, there is.

"Normal" is defined as what is most commonly acceptable by society. Therefore, normal will change with time and location.

I don't believe in that. I believe you can be/do whatever you want as long as it doesn't directly harm another.

I agree fully. It doesn't change the fact that certain things are not considered "normal" because much of society doesn't accept it.

Let me correct myself. I reject this notion. For example, I like to hang out in abandoned storage bunkers with my friends and mess around. Does that make me not normal? By your standards probably, but by my own not at all. What I disagree with is the fact that society has to mandate a general outline of what you should be and what's considered normal, when it should be up to the individual to decide for themselves and not declare people who think otherwise unacceptable(as long as they're not hurting anybody as I stated before).

And you're perfectly free to try to reject the notion. It doesn't change the fact that your behavior, while "normal" to you, is not "normal" as far as the rest of society is concerned. For better or worse, society in general will determine what is or isn't normal. Maybe with the passing of time, or in another place, hanging out in storage bunkers is normal because most of society sees nothing wrong with it, or even encourages it.

I am not a "normal" person. I engage in behavior that much of society would not consider "normal". I accept this, but also acknowledge that the perception of what is normal is changing as certain behaviors and hobbies of mine become better accepted.

You're right, but I don't like it.

Nor am I particularly keen that things that I feel should be normal are considered "wrong" by much of society. I still accept it and move on, because while other people don't care for it? There are still things I enjoy, even if many others would prefer I not.

See, I don't accept it because I shouldn't be encouraged to sacrifice my happiness to be like others, however, like you I move on because I can't change it. Now that my piece has been stated, I am finished with this subject.
