Despite there clearly being a "2" in the title. If this was any other series people would laugh at you for thinking otherwise, but GF has released the same game so many times that people think something actually new is too far a stretch for them.

Mewtwo is OBVIOUSLY a sequel to Mew and not a remake of it(cloned=made again=remade)

I'm not on either side of this debate but the number 2 in the title does not mean it's a direct sequel.

Im pretty sure they referred to Platinum as a sequel, even though its a remake. So... yeah. Even if they come out and say 'its a sequel' I wouldnt get your hopes up.

The number 2 does mean that these are new games, rather than re-releases or remakes.
