One for kids and one for adults.

Kid Version: Pokemon are our Friends!!! <3
We work to together to get strong and blah blah.

Pokemon is fine the way it is. The people here (and most adults, I'd assume) don't play for the story anyway and the competitive players already treat Pokemon as their weapons.

Besides, kids like to pretend they're all grown up. Give them that choice and most will choose the "adult" version in a heartbeat.
