I'm glad they switch the art style up. Look at any other Breeder RPG they get stale because the designs are so similar after awhile it becomes a running joke or they have to make one monster like a million times. (See Digimon or Dragon Quest) where as with Pokemon having different art styles they can continue making similar designs that overall are far different [bar evolution lines].
A change in pace is what I like about it, keeps things different and you don't know what exactly to expect.
Too bad Simon Belmont wasn't able to kill the vampire executives at the head of Capcom.
