Red and Leaf were originally fraternal twins, but when Red developed his limbs he accidentally hit Leaf, who was then thrown into a wormhole and placed in the womb of another woman in Pallet Town in another universe.

But in another twist of fate they were born at the exact same time in both universes, which warped reality and merged the two into one, thus making them siblings once more.

It's not a bad game, it just doesn't appeal to you. That doesn't make it a bad game, it's still a solid game you just don't like it because you don't like it.

Red went and crushed Team Rocket in their base all by himself, while Gold needed Lance to help him. Then he went off to beat Giovanni 3 times, while Gold only managed to beat a weakened Giovanni.

And the person on Mt. Silver? That wasn't Red. It was Petrel, the Rocket Admin who disguised himself as Red to establish a new Rocket base there.
