Am I the only one who hates gendered Pokemon?

I just simply don't understand why they exist.
...like... WHAT'S THE POINT?!!

Why are there Pokemon like the Nidoqueen/Nidoking lines, or pokemon like Volbeat/Illumise, or guys like Gallade?

Certain ones I kind of understand, like Gallade... But why does the difference in gender between, say, Nidoking and Nidoqueen count enough to make them two different species of Pokemon, but all male and female Pikachus are just Pikachu?

Just kind of silly, I think. doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Ths is just a remnant from the first game when they were the only ones with genders, had all of them been given genders, they most likely would have been one species.

I never really about the "gender pokemon" cared to be honest.

See, I was thinking the same thing. I know Gen I didn't have genders.
But why Volbeat/Illumise, then? I know there's at least one other example, maybe 2. Post Gen-1 I mean.

Maybe they thought "Well we did it with one species, might as well have one or two more like that"

Nidoran were made before Pokémon had genders, so that's why they made two separate species.

Volbeat and Illumise were made because GameFreak wanted to kill off the franchise with terrible Pokémon in Gen 3. Or maybe they wanted to give them visual differences based on gender and gender differences weren't implemented until Gen 4. I think it's a bit of both tbh.
