the only legit ive catched is a shiny dunsparce in diamond.

other than that ive never encountered one,but i remember in elementary school my friend had a legit catched pidgeotto in gold version

If we're not including pokeradar, which I have a couple of hundred of, and soft resetting for legendary pokemon, which I have a Latias, then:

Ruby- Claydol, caught
Emerald- Gulpin, caught
Graveler, Selfdestructed

Fire Red: Doduo, ran away from my sister

I know that feel, haven't ever ran into a wild shiny and, again, have been playing since the original RB.

Somehow, however, I've contracted Pokerus in Emerald, Platinum, Soul Silver, and White, all on separate occasions before I even trade up pokemon -_-

Ran into a shiny Zubat in Gold and killed it, didn't realize it was shiny until after the fact.

I was able to sign this until Platinum. In the safari zone of that game I found a shiny jigglypuff. Luckily I caught it and it didn't run as those pokes always do in that horrible zone...

You can't find wild Jigglypuff in the Great Marsh.

Are you sure it wasn't the Trophy Garden?
