here are four badges which do not have any gyms associated with them that are known. im not saying we will know, but what the hell, we can guess.

types that arent gyms in unova (as of BW2): grass, fire, ice, fighting, rock, steel, psychic, ghost, and dark

grass, fire, and ice are rather up for grabs, since those gyms were taken out in BW2 but were shown in the anime earlier

to me, the third badge in the first picture looks like a psychic badge, the fourth looks like a dark badge, the fifth looks like either a fighting or rock badge, and the seventh one in the other picture looks either like a grass or maybe fighting badge. any thoughts?

I think they were just made for the anime without any more thought being put into it. They didn't decide which types the badges would belong to, which gym leaders would give them out, etc.

I think that in the anime world, there are more than eight Gyms in each region, but Ash just happens to visit the ones that exist in the games. This is especially true in Unova, since apparently Virbank Gym is in operation alongside all the gyms in BW.

Actually. Instead of remakes, maybe GF could kind of start doing what they did for BW2. We could go back to Kanto(Past Region), but there would be different buildings/areas and Gyms. It would certainly allow for new games to be created without having to add many or any new Pokemon at all.

I was working on something similar with Johto, just for the hell of it (cause I like "making" games in Word) while 3rd Gen was still new. My games were Black and Bronze.
