I understand the shiny thing, but no releases and being able to get a second chance for Pokemon on any given route is basically taking the Nuzlocke out of Nuzlocke.

How does not releasing take the nuzlocke out of it? Pretty much everyone boxes.

I feel like it ruins the effect. Boxing it does the same thing, mechanically speaking. But releasing it adds to the pressure, I feel.

Oky, I can understand that. Although boxing them gives you a way to look back, like they are tombstones or something. Oh well, everyone has their own preference.

(Wow, acceptance of another's opinion on GameFAQs. Freaky) XD

Oh, my rules are supposed to make it easier, not harder.

Three questions for you guys. What's the policy on legendaries? And what about items held by those Pokemon that fainted? If a Pokemon in my party faints, must I immediately return to the perkehmehrn cehrnter or can I just wait til the next one?~

Legendaries tend to act as bosses, or outright skipped. You can go for the catch if you want too though, it's your game lol.
That's a good question with the items. If you wanted it to be harder, get rid of them. It makes sense that you could pick them up though. You could probably just wait, it's not a huge deal I don't imagine.
