Yup. After my first time going through it in Yellow, I never needed Flash for Rock Tunnel again. In RBY, you could still see all the walls, so navigation was easy, and in FR/LG you get a small circle of vision, so it's harder, but still not all that difficult, considering how many times I'd already been through it.

Every single time except maybe 1 or 2. I had been through it so many times I quite literally remembered the layout.

Also, a blob of blutac on the screen where the character was made navigating alot easier, as now you can see the walls and yourself.

Even when I was that young I didn't like wasting a moveslot on it.. Remember being stuck with Cut on my Bulbasaur though!

Yes, but it was mainly because I wasn't aware it existed until I went through, kept thinking to myself "This is a horrible idea, why did they make us do this?"
