It's just a palette swap that's really rare. Giving them BST boosts would wreck the metagame.

Hey, while we're at it, let's give stat changes to alternate costumes in fighting games.

Not boosts like that, but boosts as in they had better IV's, maybe EV's too, or something like that. I don't play Competitive, but I think it makes a little bit of sense to make the Shinies somewhat better. It could be abused, like restarting for a Shiny Starter, or any free Pokemon that you get. I don't really mind that though, a lot may.

Also, it makes up for how ugly some of them are. =]

You'll get more complaints. Spending 1 more hour to breed a good Pokemon for competitive battle already is hated beyond belief, and now you want the metagame to be filled with nothing but shinies?

I'd be okay if Shiny has other less important but cool gimmicks like better for contests, better for Pokethlon, etc, but NEVER INVOLVE IT WITH THE COMPETITIVE SCENE

I don't compare it to a different costumes. I compare it a bit to the show. Wasn't Ash's Noctowl Shiny, and a bit stronger?

I compare it that since it's rare to have a Shiny Pokemon that it could be a gene mutation of some sort that causes them to be Shiny. A bonus would be better programmed stats.

I wouldn't mind if they automatically had like a minimum of 15 for each IV just so you couldn't get one that was disgusting in the IV department. Anything beyond that I wouldn't want.

Sorry wow, I didn't think you guys were so passionate about that stuff...Since I don't play Competitive, I see it as a easy way to beat the in-game, even if it is easy enough as it is. Or battling my friends who don't Competitiveplay either, just play in-game. Or to just give them a reason to want them other then them just being a different color and sparkles.

But that's why I said it would be abused. And who knows, What if it had a bad Nature, would that still ruin it or no? I'm not saying the increase has to be anything high, maybe just +1-5 in each IV & EV stat. 1-3 might be better.
