Should Shiny Pokemon have better stats than normal PKMN?

#11EchidneysPosted 11/29/2012 11:59:21 PM
With as rare as they are, they should be even more worth it with a stat boost, even if it's something little, like an "All Stat Boost" of say, 5, or even 3. Or even just one stat. But maybe to hatched shinies only? I don't know.

Guaranteed high IV's (and a good nature?), sure. Actual boosts to stats beyond anything a non-shiny pokemon can get, goodness no.

Didn't they have higher stats on average like back in Gen 2 or something (based on how shininess was calculated or something)

Well... in a sense.

They must have an IV of 10 in Speed, Defense, and Special, whereas the last IV, Attack, has more leeway. Highest IV is 15 back then. Not perfect, but most stats are above average, yes.

As a sidenote, I'm still laughing about gen 1 and 2 Special stat.

How about if shinies were to have their natures effects boosted x2? So, not only does it double attack bonus, (lets assume adamant nature) but it also doubles the amount taken from special attack. The only issue I can see is that it makes Pokemon with non-mixed sets somewhat broken, but given how rare shinies are anyway. . .

Aren't 90% of attackers single stat users?

No thanks, don't want to play people with full hacked shiny teams because they're 'legit'.
