Grimer moveset help?

#1bigt3224Posted 11/30/2012 2:04:14 PM
My Grimer's attack is stupid (it is barely worse than Zoroark and Lucario's, and it isn't evolved yet), but every poison move but Poison Jab is a special, and his Special Attack blows. What moves should I teach him in the meantime?

I can't get Poison Jab until I hit route 8, so I just have a little while.

Currently he is level 34 and his move set is:

Mud Bomb
Venoshock
Sludge Bomb
Sludge

Payback, Elemental Punches and Brick Break are all options.

Since the elemental punches are from move tutors, and require a ton of red shards, and brick break can only be picked up from the PWT, those may be out of the question haha. Anything else?

Guy in the Nimbasa Pokemon center will give you 10 red shards.

So you're looking for moves that aren't from tutors, egg, or any TM's that are bought or past wherever you are? That's a pretty limited selection.

If you're lacking in Shards, just do that funfest mission that has you looking for ores, I suggest doing it in Relic Passage, that's usually where I get about 20 shards per mission attempt. :3

Return / Frustration
Dig
Thief
Screech

That should get you through until it evolves and you get Poison Jab (and eventually Gunk Shot)...

Should I teach my Muk strength?

He is level 41 and his current moveset is:
Mud Bomb
Sludge Bomb
Sludge Wave
Venoshock

I'd remove either mud bomb or sludge bomb, but it would just be useful to have, as well as it is a very powerful physical attack.
