I know about nuzlockes but what are some other ways to play this game?

Community Run.
Low BST runs.
Mono-type runs.

Well, there are always the Insanity nuzlocke rule set..

But as started above, community run, low BST run and mono type. I can't really think of others.

-No pokemon center run (except the necessary tutorials etc)

Play using the team of your favorite character. You can use their PWT team (if they have one) or their team from point they've been around. :)

The most fun challenge I had was using a team of all crappy Pokemon, and then using a team of only crappy unevolved Pokemon.

Team 1: Spinda, Farfetch'd, Luvdisc, Shedinja, Wobbuffet, Unown

Team 2: Tyrogue, Hoothoot, Tynamo, Feebas, Magikarp, Weedle

as soon as they're available, start always using infinite repels. They burn money, give you a sense that time's running out, and prevents grinding.
