WTF? Who in the world says "aww too bad' or doesnt care when a baby is murdered? Nobody. People react far harsher too when a baby is murdered to when a foetus is killed. Seriously you got everything the wrong way around.

Part of me was expecting this when I saw that this topic had 57 posts in it. Anyway, my two cents (and yes, I'm speaking as a Christian which I know in today's society instantly makes me intolerable and an idiot...because people can disagree with me and it's alright but if I disagree with them then I'm intolerable. Wait, what?) is that abortion is murder. What the guy said earlier about being a former fetus who is against abortion, it's the stuff like that that's so simple but powerful. I mean, I'm sorry, but the option of abortion is why kids today are so stupid. Why not go around, partying and having sex and blowing off education when abortion is always an option? I just think that if you're stupid enough to be having sex at a young (or even mid 20s or whatever else) age with someone you're not committed to and you get pregnant, you should have to deal with it. Having the kid is going to make you mature, and it's not like it's the kids fault that daddy got mommy pregnant with a baby she didn't want.

I mean, I was born because of something similar to that, and I'm glad my mother didn't choose to abort me. Did she think about it? I don't know. But either way, it didn't happen. My youth pastor's wife, her mom was 16 when she got pregnant. So the mom and father went to the abortion clinic, took a wrong turn and missed it, and by the time they found it they had decided they didn't want to abort anymore. And that has worked out pretty well for everyone. No kid should have to die because of an immature parent.

As far as rape is concerned, I have a good friend who got raped and thankfully she didn't get pregnant, but if she did I know she was determined to have the baby. I can't tell you how many stories I've read of raped women who had the baby and, even if they did put him or her up for adoption, were still extremely glad that they had the kid and happy they didn't go to an abortion clinic. I haven't read many stories of people being positive about having an abortion. I have read about the guilt that comes later though.

I could also go in to the biology (which, granted, I think a lot of the facts of pregnancy could be used for both a pro and anti abortion arguement, depending on how you look at it) but this being GameFAQs it's probably not the place. So yeah, chiming in, that's what I think.

As much as I didn't want to add on to this topic, I couldn't let the last word on this subject be what was written in the previous post. I've run into too many people who seem to value a new life coming into the world higher than a life already here, namely the mother's. I've also known women who had children just because people pay attention to them while they're pregnant as compared to ignoring their presence when they're not which is a rather sad commentary on this society as a whole and especially the religious community in particular.

I feel, as a Christian, that we should value the lives of people already here as much as we do new lives but that doesn't happen, especially not where women are concerned. That in and of itself is sad because we say one thing and do the exact opposite. For instance we say we value kids yet our schools are overcrowded and coming apart (visit your kids' school one day and see how well they're looked after. I did.) People who care for our kids are overworked, (undertrained if trained at all) and underpaid; then we complain when something happens that they weren't trained to prevent in the first place due to lack of either time or money. It just seems to me that we should start placing a higher value on the kids and mothers already HERE than arguing over abortion, etc. Without a resolution to caring for the people already HERE, we can't solve the problem with those who are going to come if wanted or not.
