No no no, the presentation will be made on a 3DS, with the Nintendo President being seen via Augmented Reality, but the actual game will be on the DS. R/S/E remakes on the GBA will follow.

Not really. It's time to upgrade folks. GF only didn't put Gen V on the 3DS because it was still much too new for millions of fans to have a 3DS.

Its not as if this day would never come. It was inevitable that a pokemon game would come out on the 3DS. Besides there are also a ton of other really good games that they're missing out on.

It confirms all of my suspicions. My gut feeling said that the new announcement is either Generation 6 or R/S remakes for the 3DS.

Can't say this is a big surprise. I kind of expected B2W2 to be exclusive for the 3DS, until the announcement came that they were being developed for the old DS.

Anyway, I don't have a 3DS yet, but remakes of Ruby and Sapphire might make me get one. I don't think it will be Gen 6 already, as Gen 5 is only two years old. Seems a bit early to introduce a new one, but I might be wrong of course.

I guess soon the time will come to get a 2nd 3DS so I can trade between this new game and any future upcoming ones.

Fall 2010 in Japan and considering the usual cycle for these games the hypothetical 6th gen would come out Fall of this year as well, making it three years (tying with R/B/G/Y and G/S/C).
