It's too early for 6th gen, and I'm pretty sure we'd hear of a spinoff from magazine leaks as usual.

If it was R/S remakes they would have had it to make it for the DS to make it compatible with current gen games.

XL speakers are crap compared to the original 3DS tho, and XL is only portable via backpack or bag not pocket. So it just depends. I love the original design minus the glossy crap and battery life, but its enough to last me usually till o can charge it again

How long it the battery life for the regular one? 3-5 hours?
