Remoraid and its evolution - it doesnt make sense

a) Remoraid is a cross between a remora (which is a fish; look it up) and an archerfish, which is also known in some places as a gun or pistol fish.
2) Octillery is like a tank.

So, it's not a remora evolving into an octopus, but a gun evolving into a tank. And, as others have pointed out, there are other Pokemon whose evolutions don't make much sense, either.

Ya someone made a pirate connection. Remoraid is the gun and Octillery is the representation of pirates.

Actually now that I think about it, maybe it has to do with Sushi. Remoraid is the Fish sushi and Octillery is the octopus sushi. Octopus sushi is generally more expensive, so remoraid is evolving to a more valuable form of sushi.

Remoraid who is like a minnow pirahna fish or whatever that evolves into an octopus. That aint normal lol
