I've been playing Platinum again, and I forgot how bad parts of it can be: -Team Galactic are probably the worst villains in any game I've ever played. they're too open about it, they look stupid, and no one gives a crap. Plus, even when they commit outright terrorism no one reacts too badly. Maybe this isn't so much them as it is making everyone else indifferent to them. -All of the cities are so boring! Most of them look dull and brown with one distinctive feature (if that) each. -The music, with one or two exceptions, is bland and uninteresting.
Off the top of my head, the only thing I really like about them is the Pokemon selection, which I admit is fantastic. --- Pokemon Black- FC: 0003 3185 8262 Monster Hunter Tri, ID:71YAXZ -EU Server!
Gen 4 is actually possibly my favorite. I liked the design of the map it just seemed really big with a lot to explore. Especially compared to gen 5, my biggest gripe with gen 5 is that I thought it had a horrible map with small routes. I also liked most all the pokemon designs of gen 4. Thought the starters were great, the legendaries were great, most the new evolutions were great, lucario was great, etc. Gym Leaders, Music, and most everything else I liked. --- My Pokemon guide: pkmntrainercory.blogspot.com Check it out! Shinji X Asuka is the most sacred pairing in all of anime. That is an unnegotiable fact.
I don't think any of the games have outstanding music across the board, each gen just has a few tracks that I like. I think Gen 5 probably had the best music for me, though. --- Pokemon Black- FC: 0003 3185 8262 Monster Hunter Tri, ID:71YAXZ -EU Server!
-The music, with one or two exceptions, is bland and uninteresting.
It was certainly better compositionally than R/B/Y and G/S/C, which offered nothing really.
I have to disagree with the first two gens having uninteresting music.
Also Gen 4 had some nice Pokémon - Infernape, Garchomp, Lucario, Gallade, Darkrai, Giratina, Togekiss, Drapion, Magmortar, Gliscor, Mismagius and Froslass are all keepers in my book. --- "This is the strangest life I've ever known" - Jim Morrison
