N having zekrom is right.

Because its his ideals to change the world, so the right version was black.

Then he wants to find out the truth: can pokemon really live in harmony with humans? So he has reshiram, there fore white 2 is the correct version.

So black, then white 2 is the storyline.

But going from Black to White 2 wouldn't make sense. In Black, the previous protagonist owns Reshiram while N owns Zekrom; so how does N suddenly get Reshiram?

N spends the game with the objective of showing the truth to the world. Plasma members claim that people and Pokemon are not, in fact, equals, and catching them is harmful for Pokemon in the long run. N believes this, and claims that the true way for Pokemon to be is away from humans, while trying to prove that people are deceiving themselves.

In the endgame, he ends up going on a journey after the truth of his life and Team Plasma is revealed. His new journey is to discover how the world truly is, because the time spent away from his castle challenged what he thought to be true. In BW2, he ends up learning the truth of how the world works and accepts that humans can bond with Pokemon as trainers, and the two can happily coexist. Learning the truth of the relationship between humans and Pokemon, he frees Reshiram because its purpose is to help those who seek truth, and thus its time with him is over.

That only happens in W2, not B2.

There is no "canon version".
Whether N was following ideals or truth is up to the players' interpretation.
As they clearly say in B2/W2: "Truth and ideals do NOT need to be in opposition".

Now I'm reminded of when Heero and Zechs traded mobile suits in Gundam Wing.
