If I breed two of the same pokemon, male and female, and both know hydro pump, will the offspring also know hydro pump?

If you look at the moveset for the offspring pokemon, and hydro pump is in the "egg move" list, or it can learn that move by leveling up or TM, then yes. --- HG FC: 1979 7951 4916 W2 FC: 5115 2466 3250

Egg moves come from the father, fyi. Moves the mother currently knows are meaningless when breeding. --- Maybe I'll use you, to blow a midget's head off, or maybe I won't. - zer0

Stupid answer, if you read previous post you'll find that in some cases mother's move matter. --- 3DS FC Ares 3738 0446 1787 <> Black 2 FC Enyalio 0562 4621 2772 DW Collection: http://tinyurl.com/3qz7odk

The moves obtained by a Pokémon when hatching are as follows:
The Pokémon will start with any moves that it would learn as a "Start" move in its learnset (In Generation II and Generation III, they learned all moves that are level 5 and below in their learnset.). The Pokémon will start with any moves that it would learn by leveling up only if both parents know the move. This does not apply to moves that later evolutions can learn (such as Breloom's Mach Punch, which Shroomish cannot learn for obvious reasons). The Pokémon will start with any TM or HM moves (and in Crystal, Move Tutor moves) that the father knows and the baby can also learn by machine. The Pokémon will start with any Egg moves that the baby can learn and the father knows. --- "As I was walking up the stairs, I met a man who wasn't there, he wasn't there again today, i wish I wish he'd go away."
